Face Overload, Seating, food, ahhhhh. who is that over there. mmmmmm
Gus ordered salmon teriyaki with California rolls which were great
I did' nt order into the buffet but the shimp looked alive.
heyJuan aka !@#$%^&*()_+
here be my review, got there late on purpose no greenbacks, had nothing to eats therefore I feel I can be totally impartial n' objective. well here is my review.... ju8j i liked it somewhat.
Nice staff, for a former Foster's Freeze. Best sushi restaraunt next to a former Chief Auto Parts that I know of. The buffet plate was spectacular; the platter was six feet long and ended with the head of a sturgeon with marachino cherries for eyes. Reminded me of Jumbo's Clown Room, mainly cause I haven't been there in awhile....And we made love all night. The perfect night. A little worse for wear, but great!!!
We reserved 20 to 30 seats but Chrislove didn't think to ask if they actually OWNED 30 seats. They don't. We left our big celebrity guest standing awkwardly in the corner, drinking cold saki. Artemis' table got free food all nite...how did they do it?! Artemis says it was strictly based on his greencard approach. heh heh.
well........mini-malls have come a long way.........food was fresh....real fresh.....still moving kinda fresh......i guess that's a good thing..right?.....buck kept covering them with the edible styrofoam thingies but it only made it worse..........like they were being buried alive.......the horror..............
It was all fun and games until Buc Y Bono drew a long opalescent clammy shrimp out of the center basket, and suddenly the "decorative" shrimp's head looked at me. That's right, the eyeballs moved in my general direction, the tiny slender antennae waved helplessly in the air. Little decapitated shrimpies feeling the atmosphere, or maybe begging for help...hard to say, but damn wuz that fresh!
Yukistar had a juice from the shrimp head. She's got the shrimp memory now! Poor little shrimp watch her eat his memory out. American people don't like shime-saba very much. Yuki noted that it was all that remained on the buffet platter. Shime-sabe is mackerel marinated in vinegar True enough, cause buc y bono said it tasted like a shoe..
Hey this no-liquor license thing is really cool!! 711 next door is cheap and the variety ain't bad. Artemis could afford to buy the 2 chicks next door sum beer and that's whut it's all about.
The two partners who made this lovely little sushi joint campe pver from Korea and trained with a famous sushi chef from Tokyo for three years. Their dedication and hard work has paid off for this is really cool place for good sushi and asian food of all kinds.am
We had wedding cake for dessert, of course. A leftover from last weeks baubles at Electric Lotus. But that's another story...
o.k.FINE..............here's what i liked/disliked..........love the small family run feel to the place..........food: in a word.....FRESH.............high marks for presentation...........i had the buffet (which was a bit odd) and it is hard to compare to my other sushi experiences as we had many different things that i have never eaten before..........i really wanted some miso..........the staff was nice but seemed a little overwhelmed by our presence.....we kinda overan the place.....i don't much care for the mini-mall aesthetic....except the sad reality is that these malls provide cheap rent for small family run businesses...which i like.....perhaps time will add a layer or patina or two .....,,or someone will steal the tiki torches from up front..........i would definately go back.........mv
