FOOD: EXCELLENT
AMBIANCE: VERY GOOD
SERVICE: VERY GOOD
The appetizers were incredible and gave us an idea of what was to come. The ambiance was great, a converted Bob's Big Boy, complete with Big Boy's smiling vestage rescued from the back storage room, we were told, nostalgic 20th century all the way. Sci-fi posters deocrate the walls alongside massive chinese good luck fish swimming proud and bold in huge aquariums.
Now for the food. The vietnemese hand rolls, mint leaves, shrimp and glass noodles and rolled up in a semi-transparent sheath, covered with a wonderful spicy peanut sauce. We all tried different noodle bowls from different countries. Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese. All were culinary delights and distinctly different. There were also other dishes like pan-fried noodles, oih yeah, baby!!! And we all had to dip into each others big bowls, in order to really satisfy our gastronomic needs. No one walked away dry. Oh yeah, the Thai Ice Tea was great too, which says a lot all by itself. The best part was the check, only 37 bux for four people plus drinks...
We recommend going down the street to "Tapioca Express" for a balsy follow up that will definitely surprise you. They serve millions of these crazy flavorful jelly juices, milk teas, snow bubbles and pudding drinks. Includes these big giant straws to suck up the little tapioca balls they put in the drinks. Yummy.
