Hi to all the Canadian folks who picked up a copy of The National Post today. I absolutely love Canada and would love to have a show there. Know a gallery owner who might be interested? Anyone know of any museum openings in 2005? ( I know that's presumptuous, but I gotta ask!) Let me know!

I'm half Canadian and proud of it. My dad was born in Montreal and grew up in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Today would have been my mom and dad's 35th wedding anniversary if he were alive today.

Just get back from a tour of America. Details coming sometime in the future when I put it all together.

Saw Spider-Man 2 and thought it was great!

APRIL 3, 2004

Any fans of Matt Stone and Trey Parker should really check out their online cartoon "Princess". Not only is the theme song great, but it's sick and could never be shown on TV! I love the internet! To see the 2 episodes, go to Redban.com and register. It's free, and then download the cutesy wootsie Princess... yesh! The last South Park they did called "The Passion Of The Jew" was brilliant, and one of the best episodes they've ever done. Still, it kind of sucks Blue Girl isn't doing the voices for them anymore...

My friend Abby Travis is playing a great show on Tuesday April 13 at Tangier 2138 Hillhurst Ave in Los Angeles.

I want to see this movie. Can it beat Hellboy as my new favorite movie of the year?!

Just got back from Wizard World Comic Con in Los Angeles. Took a bunch of my comics to be graded by CGC and bought a lot of Dr. Strange stuff. The fun never ends... Also gave superstar comic artist Alex Ross a print of The Picture of Everything!

MARCH 14, 2004

Did a live lenticular demonstration at The Backstreet Gallery tonight and made a new lens!

Had to miss the Germs Reunion though! BOO! Original members Pat Smear, Don Bolles, and Lorna Doom did a surprise gig at the Dragonfly with the guy who's playing Darby Crash in the upcoming movie as the singer. Wish I could've been there! Best tiki restaurant ever is Bali Hai in San Diego.

Thanks a million to everyone who came to my art show on February 28th! Hope you all had fun and enjoyed the work! It really feels great to know so many folks out there support what I do! The show will be up until Monday, March 15th, and I plan to give a lenticular demonstration lecture on Saturday, March 13th at 7:30 pm at the Backstreet Gallery. If anyone's interested, call them at 310-828-7742.

GEEK OUT ALERT: Yesterday, as a kind of de-compression from the art world, I decided to list my Dr. Strange collection online and wrote a post about it to the CGC Comic Book Message Boards asking for help in tracking down stuff I don't have or don't know exists. It caused longtime Dr. Strange blogger Neilalien to write a blurb about it on his site, of which I'm very proud. Speaking of comics, check out hallis.biz for some nice ones I have for sale on eBay!

My cousin Aubrey and his fiancee Kim are coming in from Calgary, Alberta next Saturday and we plan to go to every frikkin tiki bar in or around Southern California... and see the pandas at the San Diego zoo!

Look for more brand new lenticular art on display at this years Coachella Festival as well as at a gallery in Colorado in April! Watch this space for more details!

FEBRUARY 26, 2004

SEE THE NEW LENSES IN MY ART SHOW HERE!

Lots of people have been asking me details about the show... like what time it starts! The Backstreet Gallery will be open from 1:00 P.M. til late late in the evening. I'll be there from 1:00 P.M. til 3:00 P.M., and then again from 7:00 P.M. up until closing. We'll be doing karaoke from midnight on! Pizza will be provided by Nova Express Cafe! PLEASE COME!

FEBRUARY 8, 2004

Guess this would be the time to once again start plugging my art show at The Backstreet Gallery, since it's coming up at the end of this month, but some of my friends have some great stuff going on in the next few weeks as well! Go see Abby Travis at the Viper Room on the 20th and The Bat Show on the 22nd.

A new update is coming soon. I just got over the flu, so my plans for a holiday karaoke CD were delayed.

I'm having an art show at the end of February (the 28th) at The Backstreet Gallery in Los Angeles where the original art for The Picture of Everything as well as brand new large-size lenticulars will be on display! Click here for more info!
