I got a notice from a guy calling himself "Lance Rock" via e-mail that some of the cast of Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls were going to be at Amoeba Records in Hollywood on October 23, 2003 in celebration of the re-release of the soundtrack album. Since BTVOTD is my favorite movie of all time, (I made a tarot deck of the characters, fer crying out loud!) I just HAD to check it out! Turns out we were treated to a set of ALMOST EVERY SINGLE SONG from the movie, both by The Strawberry Alarm Clock and Lynn Carey (the actual voice behind The Carrie Nations) and got to see Cynthia Meyers (Casey Anderson), Harrison Page (Emerson Thorne) and Z-Man Barzel himself, John Lazar, in person! More folks from the movie were there as well, but that's all I saw. Russ Meyer almunus Kitten Natividad from Beneath The Valley of The Ultravixens and many other fine films was also in attendance. Here's some photos taken with my phone:

Z-Man and me! (Like the Dr. Strange haircut?)

John Lazar says the line that made him infamous: "This is my happening and it freaks me out!"

Lynn Carey sings "Sweet Talking Candy Man"

The Strawberry Alarm Clock play every song they did at Z-Man's party!

The legendary Don Bolles and Nora from The Centimeters enjoy the festivities

The Master of The Mystic Arts meets The Master of The Black Sock! Me and Kitten Natividad!
